The sweet sounds of personalized ringtones fill the air and earbuds are visible everywhere. That can only mean one thing – it’s Spring and time for the semiannual industry migration to CTIA Wireless, or, as the organizers modestly refer to it The Most Important Global Technology Event of the Year.
Maybe to them. For my money, the most important technology event of the year was the Mrs. figuring out how to run the DVD player without my help. Fortunately for the CTIA, their Spring show went much more smoothly.
But I digress. The following several posts consist of my observations from the Mobile Payments World Special Interest Seminar on the Monday before CTIA’s official opening.
